Katsu Sandwich

It has been almost 2 years since i blog on food, epecially since we moved into a smaller apartment with an open style kitchen....i got really lazy. However i know this should not be the excuse.

So for the past years, I have been doing lots of quick meals or one pot meal, which i didnt take get a chance to take any picture.
Anyways, from this month onwards, I promise that i will update my cooking blog more regulary.

Today we had katsu sandwich, it basically means meat coated with bread crumb serve with sandwiches. It is a common meal that Japanese have, especially with the kids. Japanese's mothers will make their children bento (lunch boxes) for school. It often looks more attractive and appealing to the one we had (above).

Katsu Sandwich Recipe 2 servings
- Chicken tighs 2 pieces ( or any other meat)
- Thick white bread slices 4 pieces
- Cos lettuce / lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Half cup plain flour
- 1 Beaten egg
- 1 cup breadcrumbs or Japanese/Korean Breadcrumbs
- 2 TBSP light soya sauce
- salt and pepper

Method
- Marinate chicken tighs with soya sauce, salt and pepper for 10 mins
- Toasted Bread and Set aside
- Coat marinated chicken with flour, followed by egg and breadcrumbs
- Deep fry or pan fry.
- Once cool, cool it down on a good kitchen paper (to absord excess oil)

Butter toast, place meat and vegs on it with preferred sauce such as mayo / sweet chilli/ maggie chilli sauce. And cut....
